Junior Health Educator Training
Overview
The Junior Health Educator training and certificate program was co-created by ACTIVE Life Movement and the Coastal Area Health Education Center and is offered to anybody 18 years or under. A Spanish version is coming soon!
This simple and easy-to-complete free, online training was modeled after the formal, adult Community Health Worker program and has been modified to ultimately equip youth with the tools, skills, and knowledge needed to become grass roots advocates for health among their peers and in their community.
Individuals may take it at their own pace or classes or groups can go through it together.
Besides being an excellent resume builder, the Junior Health Educator program allows certified participants to experience what it’s like to work in the field of health promotion, begin developing essential individual skills and begin networking for higher education and a career.
